
The AGEN-C Project was established in 2022 as a response to the urgent need for innovation in the public health landscape. Our journey began with a commitment to merging traditional approaches with cutting-edge technologies.

We are a public health studio catalyzing meaningful opportunities that have lasting impact. We explore and evaluate emerging technologies for public health adaptation. We are grounded in a people centered approach, meaning you lead the design and development of strategies to address the most pressing health problems of our time.

Janna Metzler, DrPH, MPH, MSSW, is a public health leader and researcher whose work bridges global and domestic contexts, applying lessons from humanitarian settings to improve health equity and resilience in urban populations. She has designed and led rigorous mixed-methods research and evaluations to strengthen global health and humanitarian initiatives in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.
Her research seeks to foster health and well-being through the application of participatory methods and people-centered design principles that support communities develop and implement innovative and durable strategies to achieving health equity, eliminating disparities, and improving the lives of those impacted most by emergencies.
Based in New York City, Janna brings together her expertise in research, implementation, and systems change to drive evidence-based, community-centered solutions that expand opportunity, promote well-being, and create lasting impact for children and families impacted by disasters worldwide.

Angelie Singh, MD, PhD, MPH is a physician‑scientist, public health researcher, and health innovation leader based in New York City. She brings over 15 years of experience across clinical medicine, epidemiology, behavioral science, and applied artificial intelligence to advance equitable, real‑world health solutions.
Trained in medicine, public health, nutrition, and epidemiology, Angelie has worked at the intersection of research, technology, and care delivery—translating complex evidence into programs that improve access, diagnosis, and outcomes for communities historically underserved by healthcare systems. Her work spans areas including women’s health, rare disease, chronic illness, mental health, and health misinformation, with a strong emphasis on ethical and responsible use of data and AI.
Angelie’s leadership is grounded in both academic and applied experience, as well as global fieldwork across Africa, South Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This perspective informs an equity‑centered approach rooted in lived experience, community partnership, and accountability.
Through this organization, she is committed to building bridges between science, technology, and community—ensuring innovation serves people first, and that health solutions are designed with care, compassion, and integrity.
